Try a glass of one of these reasonably priced and flavorful eco-friendly wines.

In the world of wine, there’s red and white—and then there’s green. Trying to find a bottle of organic, biodynamic, or otherwise eco wine on a restaurant’s wine list can be overwhelming. And visiting your local wine shop isn’t much better, particularly when the sales person’s recommendations are either over your head or beyond your means. Do yourself and the environment a favor and reach for one of these delicious and reasonably priced Spanish Riojas, instead. The 2004 “El Talud” from Martinez la Orden (available at
millswine.com) comes from grapes grown on Europe’s first bio-climatic farm, and the 2003 Navarrsotillo Magister Bibendi Crianza is certified organic (
wineshopnyc.com). Besides, when it comes to choosing eco-friendly spirits,
in vino veritas.
